In the UK, Halloween is getting more expensive every year, from pumpkin patches to sweets in supermarkets. So much so that most are opting for cheaper or free festive activities at home. With only two days left of Halloween, why not whip up some spooky treats with your lover?
From spooky spider cookies to vampire gingerbread men, here are some simple designs anyone could make!
Spider cookies
Probably the easiest to make is the spider cookie, as you can make it with any biscuit recipe.
Simply make the cookies, then add a piece of chocolate on top that can represent the spider's body.
Next, draw on some legs with chocolate icing, then add some edible eyes, and you're done!
Another simple bake is the gingerbread man. You can buy gingerbread men templates from pretty much anywhere.
To finish them off, all you really need to do is add some buttons, eyes and vampire fangs.
Scary biscuits
Like the cookie, this is quite similar, but you need two cookies per design.
Simply mush them together with some chocolate in the middle, and add edible eyes, and you're done!
Chocolate muffins are another simple bake that can be easily Halloweenified.
Simply add some cobwebs with white icing, and if you want to make them even fancier, you can add spiders.
