Some people travel for adventure; some travel to experience different cultures, and some travel to meet new people, but have you ever considered travelling for sex? Dating app Grindr recently reviewed the statistics for its ‘right now’ feature and published an overview of the horniest cities around the world.

So which European cities have topped the list? Let’s find out. Spoiler: Amsterdam isn’t on there.

London, UK - Surprised? I know I’m not. Brits might not be known as the most romantic bunch, but we’re certainly the least patient. According to Grindr, Londoners are the most prolific users of the “right now” feature, so if you’re UK-based, you don’t have to travel as far as you might think to get down and dirty.
Madrid, Spain - Despite taking over the majority of the Spanish Islands to the best of our ability, you can’t blame Brit-filtration for this one. Madrid is (literally) the vibrant cultural centre of Spain, with electrifying nightlife and countless adult entertainment options; Calle Montera is a must-visit!
Berlin, Germany - You can trace Berlin’s reputation for sex positivity back to the 1920s. Its vibrant nightlife scene and the founding of the first Institute of Sexual Science by Dr Magnus Hirsche positioned Berlin as a city that wasn’t afraid to push social boundaries, and it remains so today. Germany is one of the most regulated countries for prostitution globally.
Barcelona, Spain - Another Spanish city enters the list, and personally, I’m only surprised that Barcelona didn’t place higher! Well known for its Red Light District, La Rambla, Barcelona has long been a thriving hub for both travellers and illicit adult entertainment.
Milan, Italy - While Rome may be the Italian city to visit if you’re looking to fall in love, it appears the home of Italian fashion week has seduction in mind. Although it doesn’t have a traditional red light district, the Corvetta area is a must-visit for thrill-seekers, and Milan is an exciting place to find alternative adult entertainment ideas. This city serves looks, dinner and sex on a platter.
