Females with bold sexual energy disturb people, as it threatens the patriarchy. Still to this day, rampant females are seen as posing a particular threat to the social order - and for the first time in history, the revolution is kicking incel males' arses.
The idea of suppressing women's sexuality is like a yarn that lets the patriarchal weaving of society stay intact. The society that thinks unlearning patriarchal ideas is a Herculean task will thus ensure it remains a taboo and continue feeding chauvinists who will perpetuate the idea that, unless for male consumption, female sexuality is sinful and immoral.
"In the nineteenth century," Adrienne Rich wrote in The Theft of Childbirth, "the educated woman was seen as a threat to the survival of the species…. Patriarchal society would seem to require not only that women shall assume the major burden of pain and self-denial for the continuation of the species, but that a majority of that species—women shall remain essentially uninformed and unquestioning."
Still, fifty years later, women are feared as we are more informed than ever when it comes to our sexual pleasure. We know how we want it, we too watch porn, we too can sleep with who we want, and some of us carry a lot more experience than the average male - and they hate it.
Not all men, of course, but most can't bear it when a woman has more experience in the sack than he does. It threatens his masculinity, and I've even seen couples break up over it. It also threatens his entitlement and dominance over you. At VavaViolet Magazine, we say good. Let it threaten them.
Women are still caged when it comes to their natural animalistic nature. For example, a woman talking about watching porn is frowned upon, whereas males can speak more openly about it. The same goes for masturbation and sex. A male who has slept around is seen as a "lad," whereas a woman is dubbed a "slut".
In the Victorian days, women who were prostitutes were seen as "evil" and as someone who lured men in. Even though it was, and will always be, a man's choice to sleep with such a woman.
Our desire for sex is seen as being slutty, even though sex is the most natural act in both humankind and animal kind. So, the women who stand up and ooze sex appeal are the patriarchy's biggest threat. Why? Because it dims males' dominance over us. It loosens their control and puts the ball in our court. It says "I can do what you do".
The sexiest attitude towards women comes from incel men. You know, the ones who hate women and still believe a woman's place is "in the kitchen". These are the men we're talking about, the ones who scrutinise or "slut-shame" women for carrying out the same behaviour they wish they could - but, of course, most women will avoid an incel male, as who wants to be around someone, or give themselves to someone who lacks so much disrespect.
A woman who owns her sexuality refuses to be a thread upholding patriarchy, hence these women are killing incel males' egos, and more than they ever have in history.
Finally, in the 21st century, women are standing tall in their sexual empowerment and owning their sexuality more than ever in history, such as Samantha Jones from Sex in the City. Cinema and TV are also starting to show sex through the female gaze, which is powerful for the revolution, as that's what this is, a well fucking needed revolution.
